Audi is a top vehicle brand that many associate with luxury and performance. Audi vehicles have also played starring roles in top movies throughout the years, showing off their speed and style as drivers cruise around streets during car chases.

I, Robot

In the 2004 action hit, I, Robot, Will Smith drove a futuristic Audi RSQ while robots threatened to take over the world. This two-door sports car took into account the idea of what cars would look like in the future, since the film takes place in the year 2035. Designers combined the styles of the Audi TT and the future R8 and added more advanced technology such as the autonomous driving feature.

Taken

In Taken, a retired government agent played by Liam Neeson drives an Audi A3 as he drives through the streets of Paris in search of his kidnapped daughter. Viewers got to see the capabilities of this sporty vehicle as he engaged in high-speed chases, tight turns, and sudden stops throughout the city. During the movie, you can also catch a glimpse of an Audi A8 and an Audi S8, which are some of Audi’s most popular high-end vehicles.

Skyfall

Skyfall, the latest installment in the James Bond franchise, featured a stylish black Audi A5 with a Land Rover Defender following close behind. James Bond sticks to his traditional Aston Martin throughout the film, but this Audi made headlines as Patrice dramatically dodged the other vehicles.

Iron Man Franchise

In the popular Iron Man film franchise, the title character cruises around in a stylish Audi A8. In the newest installment, viewers also saw the Audi S7 Sportback. In Iron Man 3, Tony Stark has an all-electric version of the Audi A8, which is actually not even available for sale, and he uses it to haul items when he is working on the design for his newest gadget, a supercharged helmet. With millions of fans of the Marvel comic around the globe, Audi gained a lot of recognition and popularity after the release of these movies in theaters.

Ronin

Featuring an all-star cast, including Robert De Niro, Ronin came out in 1998 and featured an Audi S8 Quattro. This vehicle boasts 360 horsepower, which one of the characters uses to drive around the narrow Paris streets. It comes back into the film when De Niro chases a man carrying an important suitcase. The director, John Frankenheimer, is well-known in Hollywood for his excellent work on high-speed chase scenes without overusing special effects.

The Living Daylights

Another film from the James Bond franchise, The Living Daylights featured two Audi models, the Audi 200 sedan and the Audi 200 Avant. While his Aston Martin didn’t make it through the turmoil in this film, both of Bond’s Audis survived the action.

Audi continues to design and manufacture stylish and performance-based vehicles that offer comfort while driving on all types of roads. You can take in their specs and abilities when watching popular films throughout the years, although they don’t recommend that you try any of the stunt scenes in your own Audi.
